Artist Wooyoun Lee expresses everyday objects such as objects, people, and plants with restrained gestures, various colors, and textures that embody the material characteristics of sand and oil painting. The artist repeats numerous drawings until an abstract and accidental work is created. Drawing is a channel through which artists can express their emotions and a process of rebirthing ordinary daily life into attractive results.

이우연 작가는 사물, 인물, 식물 등의 일상적 오브제들을 절제된 제스처와 다양한 색채, 그리고 모래, 유화의 재료적 특성을 담은 질감으로 표현한다. 추상적이고 우연적인 작업이 탄생하기까지 작가는 수많은 드로잉을 반복한다. 드로잉은 작가가 자신의 감정을 발산할 수 있는 통로이자 평범한 일상을 매력적인 결과물로 재탄생시키는 과정이다.
