Hong Soonyong visually explores the pure space of the human psyche, depicting the process of seeking balance in life. His ‘The Inside Space’ series represents the inner space through simple forms and calm color schemes, in the ‘The Move In Balance’ series, Hong documents the various movements of life and changes in lines through drawing, creating a depiction of layered spatiotemporal dimensions. In his recent series, ‘The Refined Time,’ by stacking curved pieces in a 1:2:3 ratio, he expresses harmony and stability within a condensed form, filling the space with refined power. Hong Soonyong's exploration of inner space provides viewers with opportunities for reflection on the direction and essence of existence.
