Gyunghwa Roh

When artist Gyunghwa Roh constructs the world within her work, she combines previously experienced elements with things that do not yet exist but could. Her paintings are a collection of drawings, and for her, drawing is an accumulation of small narratives. She listens attentively to small powers and stories, and the characters and objects in her works, resisting the absurdities of the world, are expressed magically. Their actions and expressions are imbued with conviction, telling us a story of hope that we are moving in a better direction.
